FUTURE SCHOOL CLOSURES for Beaverton Schools Schools now have the option to continue snow days or skip them this year. Michigan falls into this category. Since Beaverton Schools has already exhausted their 6 allotted snow days, we will try to shift to REMOTE learning on future school closure days. https://5il.co/p3xu https://5il.co/p3vx

"Creativity is intelligence having fun" Albert Einstein. Check out the masterpieces that our elementary students have been creating. Our art teacher, Mrs. Kranz, put together some fabulous slide shows to show off these creative minds! https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1hRzxiAFhftOJXW_LnS6FZjdLEgIwi0h3VhYORoQeWBs/edit?usp=sharing

Good afternoon Beaverton, This message is to inform you that we did have a bus slide into a ditch while transporting students home from school. Luckily, there were no injuries to report. Anytime a situation like this arises, we do a thorough investigation. We count our blessings each day!

Slippery roads
Good morning Beaverton, The forecast has taken a turn for the worse. We are under an advisory until 7pm with more snow on the way. We are closing early today at 12:30pm. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause. Our phone lines are still down too.

Closing early
At about 2:30 this morning, a line of fiber was cut somewhere in Rosebush, disabling our primary and secondary Internet connection. We are currently using a backup Internet connection, so Internet access is currently working. Unfortunately this does effect our phone services. Incoming calls are not working in any district at the moment, but outgoing calls seem to be fine. Several businesses in the area are also experiencing phone issues. We are currently working with WInn Telecom to resolve the issue as fast as we can. I will provide an update when service is restored.

Mrs. Kranz' 5th and 6th graders worked on a mural for a local business. Amy Dull from Flower Scents requested to hang some student artwork in her shop. I included some pictures of students working on the mural and where she hung it in the shop. We are hoping to do some more in the future with other grades. #GoBeavers

Good afternoon Beaverton Community, Today, we were notified that an another Beaverton Schools' student has tested positive for COVID-19. Both buildings have been impacted once again. However, this situation has a significant impact to the Elementary school. The ENTIRE north end of the building, Grades PreK through Grade 3 MUST stay home for the whole week of January 25-29. The teachers have laid out plans to continue with instruction virtually. Details for the PreK-3 grades will follow this message. Mrs. Inscho, the school nurse or the health department will contact you with further information if your child was in direct contact with an infected person. For those that need to be home in quarantine, we will be providing information to continue school at home. We continue to work with the health department to respond to this situation and we are taking every step to protect the health of our staff, students and community. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.
