• Attention Freshmen, Class ring orders will be taken on Friday Feb. 7, during lunches and after school from 3:10-4:10 in the Media Center. Upper classmen can order, too. Ring packets are in the office.
• The price of yearbooks goes up from $45 to $50 on Feb 15. Books can be ordered from Ms. Fitz with cash or check made out to Beaverton Schools.
• The wrestling team will be selling candy-grams for $1 to be delivered on February 14th (Valentine’s Day). Sales ends on February 12th.
• GladYac meeting during lunches on Thursday, February 6th, in the library.
• The Neon Night Dance will be February 21st, from 8:30 – 11:00 pm

Ice Cream Sundae Day is coming! As a special treat for students in our building, every student who eats with us on February 12th will receive an ice cream sundae cup with their choice of chocolate syrup, crushed oreos, or strawberries for topping! Congratulations to our Allison Tweed, Juliana Stacy, Dominic Cornell and Elizabeth Hoag, all placed first. Juliana and Allison also received 1st in Duet.
Lots of wrestling action this weekend. Collecting wins were Seth, Christian, Caleb, Jacob, Jake, Reuben, Garrett. Jacob Cassidy won his 150th win this weekend.

Congratulations to wrestler, Makenzy Schaefer, on finishing 8th at the Girls State Championship today. A tough field of 32 competed in her weight class.


Good luck to Makenzy Schaefer today as she competes at Adrian College for the MWA Girls High School State Championships.

Our band students performed at Solo & Ensemble in Tawas today. The following students received first place medals: Allison Tweed, Juliana Stacy, Dominic Cornell, and Elizabeth Wolpert. Juliana and Allison also received first place medals in a Duet. Well done students and Mrs. Kintner!

Lost 42-36 to Frankenmuth. Team finished 6th. Collecting wins for Beaverton Seth, Christian, Caleb, Jacob, Jake, and Aaron.

Wrestlers lost to Swan Valley 30-40. Jacob Cassiday received his 150th win today! Collecting wins against Swan Valley were Garrett, Christian, Jacob, Jake, and Aaron.



Wrestlers finished second in pool play beating Vassar 48-18, Bad Axe 42-30 but lost to Millington 24-52. Seth Onweller 3-0, Reuben Adams 2-0, Garrett Muma 1-2, Christian Kowalski 2-1, Caleb Thomason 3-0, Jacob Cassiday 3-0, Jake Fischer 3-0, Aaron Wentworth 3-0. They will be wrestling Swan Valley and Frankenmuth to determine 4th-6th place.

• DRESS CODE REMINDERS: We have seen an increase of students wearing hoods and hats in building, a violation of dress code.
• JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS are reminded to stay safe by not running in the hallways. Thank you for walking to avoid any accidents.
• 7th and 8th graders: The last day to turn in permission slips for the candy bars sales has been extended to today. We are low on the amount of sales this year, so if you do not want to pay for your field trips you can still sell the candy bars to cover your ticket cost. Please see Ms. Coughlin or Mrs. Hubble if you need another permission slip.
• The criminal justice CTE class thanks you for taking the pledge to drive safely this winter and committing to always wearing your safety belt. Results of the social media contest are being tabulated and the winning school will be announced next week. Now, here is your driving fact of the day: Young males age 18 to 34 represent 44 percent of the unrestrained occupants who were killed nationwide in crashes in 2016. Don’t Become a Snow Angel!!!
