FUN AMIDST THE FRENZY: As students barreled toward semester-ending exams this past week, teachers still found ways to lighten the mood here and there. In Mr. Wentworth’s Civics class, jury deliberations followed a week-long Mock Trial. In Mrs. Lyons’ sixth-grade Science class, students took in some important environmental lessons from DNR Scientist Jonathan Massung. And in Mrs. Gerow’s Health class, School Resource Officer Steve Cingano stopped by to discuss the law. #GoBeavers

CALENDAR CHECK: As we sprint to the finish line for the semester and the year, we want to remind students and parents of our holiday schedule. Wednesday, Dec. 20 and Thursday, Dec. 21 are FULL DAYS for all students, with most BJSHS students scheduled for semester exams on those days. The holiday break begins Friday, Dec. 22, with students returning with a full day Thursday, Jan. 4. Let's finish strong, Beavers!

SAFETY DRILL: In our ongoing practices designed to keep students and staff safe, we conducted campus-wide intruder drills this afternoon in cooperation with Beaverton City Police. After the simulation, teachers and students discussed different scenarios and potential actions that could be taken in the event of an actual incident. As campus safety and security plans continue to evolve, rest assured we’ll always make it a point to keep the community informed and involved. #Safety+Security
