THE MAGIC OF SCIENCE, or THE SCIENCE OF MAGIC? Today marked the return of PlastiVan Educator Elizabeth Egan to our Science and STEM classes. The always-entertaining Egan amazed kids with her brand of technical wizardry, leaving plenty of students wondering, "How'd she do that?"

Tonight, the Beaverton Beavers will travel to Gladwin to take on the Flying G's for a share of the Jack Pine Conference Title. WNEM's "Game of the Week" will start at 7:00 pm, and tickets are $5. Go Beavers!

THE BIG GAME: Don't sleep on Saturday's 5 p.m. youth football showdown at home between our 7/8th-grade Beavers and Meridian. At stake: A trip to the JPC/Highland Conference championship next weekend at Northwood University. FISHING IN THREE DIMENSIONS: The STEM students in Mrs. Woodruff's class are wrapping up a project in which they designed and created fishing lures using Computer Aided Design and 3-D printing. Along the way, they had to consider factors like which type of fish would be attracted; which geographical region would best suit their lures; cost to produce the lures and selling price; and challenges and potential improvements in the process. #FishOn #GoBeavers

CMU audiology doctoral students were at Beaverton high school this week to visit the 9th graders during their project on human hearing! These students had a wealth of information to share with Mrs. Sprague's science classes, and may have inspired some future audiologists!
