Just a friendly reminder: our elementary doors open at 7:45 with school beginning at 7:55. When dropping students off early please check the temperatures and ensure that they are dressed properly for the time they will be waiting outside. We’ve had some very chilly mornings and want to make sure our students are staying warm! Also, beginning instruction takes off at 7:55 am. Our teachers start promptly with their morning meetings, lessons, and specials. Please have students in school with enough time to be prepared for the start of the day. We are continuing to experience many tardy students. In the event of an emergency situation, please communicate with our office or your classroom teacher so we can best meet the needs of your child. Attendance is important and every minute counts for academic achievement and success! Thank you, Beaverton Elementary Staff

Hello Families!
This year we have an exciting new resource called the Family Room that will help you gain an understanding of what your child may be working on in school. The Family Room is divided into three sections:
Getting Started includes general tips on how to navigate Ed.
Program Support includes resources and strategies that I'll be introducing to your child during class, as well as suggestions for how you can support your child at home.
Finally, check out Shareables for quick tips about the challenges that many parents experience, like getting their children to talk about their learning.
View this quick video to learn more.

Beaverton Elementary: Dear families, at this time we are putting a hold on having volunteers in our classrooms and building. While we appreciate all of your support and are looking forward to having you help us again soon, we do feel the need to hold off for a short time. This is mostly as a precautionary method to minimize the transition of Covid-19 that we are currently experiencing. We are hopeful this will resume again soon. Tomorrow morning we will be making more decisions regarding our parent teacher conferences, veterans day assembly, and upcoming field trips. I will share more information tomorrow regarding these. For now, please continue to screen your child prior to school and keep them home if they are symptomatic. If you have any questions please contact our elementary office tomorrow. Thank you, Renee

EGG DROP EXPERIMENT!! While this super fun activity has the chance of becoming quite a messy disaster, the kids of course LOVE it! Gooey egg yolk and all! The Egg Drop Experiment is an excellent way of encouraging children to use logic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, making it a highly educational activity. Check out the video that Mrs. Sawyer put together to showcase our 4th graders and their successes and messes!
